Head of Engineering - Reynard Aviation Ltd - £65,000 + Benefits

Reynard Aviation Ltd is a leading provider of Premium Aircraft Seating with strong ties to Virgin Atlantic. The company have a strong presence in the market and are embarking on a challenging programme to deliver new products in support of existing and developing markets.

The company are actively looking to recruit for a Head of Engineering to set the vision for all technical functions and then strategically orchestrate the planning and co-ordination of the businesses technical output. The position will hold the following key responsibilities:

-  Assessing the current engineering/design structure and put together a road map to demonstrate how you will improve performance.
-  Creation of harmony and vision to ensure total communication between the engineering and design functions. 
-  Leadership of multi-disciplined engineering and design team (2 Direct reports and up to 22 indirect reports).
-  Development and delivery of the Engineering Vision and Strategy in line with the company’s strategic aims and objectives.
-  Assessing short and long term needs of the technical programme and structuring the working plan to ensure engineering and design achieve both.
-  Ensuring that products meet the clients requirements whilst ensuring that the are fit for purpose and comply with regulatory requirements;
-  Liaison with customers, suppliers and partners on all technical issues.

Candidate Requirements

You will be a proven leader who can develop and communicate a compelling vision that inspires others and have a strong ability to think conceptually. It is essential that you have a high level of technical expertise gained in a technical product environment background and can demonstrate experience of managing a diverse, multi-disciplined team in the delivery of a technical programme.

You will be an ambitious individual striving to progress your career and ideally be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline.
