FUEL SYSTEMS CONTROL & INDICATION MODELLER / AVON / TO £36K + EXCELLENT BENEFITS

Challenging opportunity for a Fuel Systems Control & Indication Modeller. Varied & engaging role in which you will gain & deploy expertise in the range of computer based modelling tools in support of current & future aircraft projects as well as in-service projects. We are keen to hear from applicants with the following:
* Degree/equiv in Engineering or related discipline, or appropriate industrial exp
* Familiar with Modelling/Simulation techniques
* Programming in either FORTRAN or C
* Familiar with MS Windows & Unix/Linux Environments
* Working knowledge of MS Office Tools or similar
* Exp of producing Technical reports
In this engaging role, the FUEL SYSTEMS CONTROL & INDICATION MODELLER will be a member of the Fuel Systems Domain & will:
* Understand the functioning of a suite of system modelling tools
* Create appropriate input files, set parameters, run tools & post-process results to achieve project determined deliverables
* Deliver models of Fuel System to be used in a range of integrated test benches
* Provide capability support to existing Fuel Modelling Suite of programs, written in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, Statemate, C, FORTRAN
* Use appropriate Software Engineering techniques for code/model development
* Perform validation & verification of models using appropriate testing techniques
DESIRABLE SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering
- Model Development in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow or similar
- Familiar with VAX/VMS operating system
- Able to work as part of a team
- Familiar with configuration management of software
- Exp with CAD
- Understanding of Validation & Verification
The project line manager will be the appropriate project’s Engineering Task Leader. Their Domain Line Managers will be the Modelling & Simulation Group leader reporting to the Head of the Control & HMI Department. Technical approval/support will be provided from the Modelling & Simulation group in the Fuel Systems Domain
