JOB DESCRIPTION
You will provide a Fault Investigation Service to the Business for the resolution of problems received from stakeholders and customers for the following key areas: -
-Fault/Accident Investigation.
-Warranty Claim Investigation.

In support of Company Objectives, the process for conducting the above Business aims to provide a timely, cost effective response, to identify the cause and corrective action for non-conformance and condition of the product, to provide support for product improvement and to identify airworthiness issues. Your main tasks will include the following:
•Conduct Fault Investigations in accordance with the Company Operating System to establish the cause of non-conforming equipment identified by stakeholders and customers.
•Maintain effective partnerships with customer Accident Investigators, providing assistance to establish the cause of the accident.
•Involve the relevant company/Supplier specialists as necessary in order to provide the customer with the appropriate technical information.
•Liaise with the customer to ensure timely return of faulty equipment for investigation.
•Visit customer facilities, off site and offshore, to examine/advise on technical issues.
•Identify flight safety issues to the Engineering Support Manager for discussion at Helicopter Safety Committee Meetings.
•Initiate manufacturing stop orders for major anomalies identified during investigations.
•Instigate Defective Stock Action as requested by the customer to remove from service faulty equipment for rectification action by the company/supplier.
•Liaise with technical support stakeholders on the completion of warranty investigations.
•Raise Technical Liaison Queries to initiate changes to Drawings.
•Initiate changes to Technical Publications as part of Fault Investigation recommendations.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

You will require HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering, or, evidence that demonstrates practical and proven experience coupled with communication skills at all levels.

You must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.

Product knowledge of aircraft types is a pre-requisite as is familiarity with the 760 series of Mod forms (Def Stan 05-123 part 4) Aircraft Publications and Maintenance Manuals.

You will also be required to display problem solving, computer skills, and an ability to write technical reports.
