Design Engineer
Location: Derby
Length of contract: 6 months
Rate of pay: circa £25 Ltd ph

Major Aero-Engine company requires 3 Design Engineers to work within Combustion & Casing Engineering to drive forward Cost Reduction initiatives across a wide range of engine components covering primarily Civil Trent engines.

The basic task entails:
Thorough investigation of potential design Cost Reduction initiatives
Support down select solution concepts
Progress detailed design solutions through to final definition
Liaising closely with interfacing specialist and gain buy off of solution from necessary stakeholders
Undertaking Design for Manufacture session with particular emphasis on manufacturing process capability
Delivering design solutions to committed customer timescales

Previous working knowledge of working within Gas Turbine Design field necessary

Essential Skills/Experience:
CADDS5 - Unigraphics NX4

Desirable Skills/Experience:
Experience of PDM – Product data Management
Prior knowledge of Combustion and Casing components
