Controls System Engineer (4 positions available)
Location:Derby
Length of contract: 12 months
Rate of pay: circa £30 Ltd ph

Major Aero-Engine client requires 4 Controls Systems/Hardware Engineers to manage the specification, design, qualification and certification of accessories that are designed and supplied by external companies.

Work will involve design approval, development engineering, technical report writing and a strong element of programme management. The role will also include responsibility for ensuring the suppliers achieve company manufacturing engineering and quality requirements.

Required Skills/Experience:
Qualified to Degree level in Maths, Physics or Engineering
Relevant level of post graduate electrical or mechanical design experience
Controls Unit Specification, design, qualification and certification knowledge
Working knowledge of design approval, development engineering, technical report writing and a strong element of programme management experience
Good IT skills (MS products)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Desirable Skills/Experience
Familiarity with classical control theory
Experience of aerospace (or another highly regulated engineering industry) design and certification would be an advantage
Knowledge of Aero-Engine manufacturing engineering and quality requirements
Experience with DOORS
