CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT / AVON / £40K-£50K

* Great opportunity to join a global design & manufacturing organisation utilising an extensive range of global subcontractors
* In this key role you will control the configuration of external supply chain, risk-sharing partners & suppliers
* You will lead the CM Assurance & Implementation work stream & team for the above areas
* The CM function covers all areas of the business & involves a large number of people working directly within the CM function
This varied & engaging role will involve:
- Definition, continuous improvement & audit of CM processes & procedures
- Leading CM profession through skills development
- Developing CM governance, to drive CM rules & policy in a consistent manner
- Defining & implementing strategic direction for CM
- Creating & approve all CM documentation
- Build & ensure global responsibility in terms of a stable product configuration & application of industrial decisions
Background in the Aerospace / defence industry beneficial
