THE COMPANY
With over 90 years experience in the manufacture of bearings, this global organization continues to post double digit growth. The UK division is looking to build on their existing account base by recruiting a business development manager to drive the company forward.
THE ROLE
As business development manager you will inherit accounts in aerospace, wind, yellow goods, robotics and other sectors. Initially your role will to be to maximise their potential before looking for new opportunities. 60% of your time will be spent dealing with OEM’s creating bespoke solutions that will help your clients achieve their aims. The rest of your time will be spent working with distribution, conducting product training, doing joint visits, lending technical expertise to help them close out deals.
THE CANDIDATE
Currently our client is only accepting applicants who satisfy the following criteria.
1. A mechanical engineering background or qualification.
2. At least 3 years experience in field sales
3. Ideally sold bearings, or other power transmission products
4. Relish the challenge of growing the business
THE BENEFITS
As business development manager you will be the company’s first full time sales person. Initially you will spend time on the shop floor as you familiarise yourself with the products as well as receiving training in the US. Having developed the business you will then be given free rain to grow a team underneath you
