Associate Engineer - Product Development
Location: Darlington, North-East England
Salary: £28,530 rising to £30,031 after 6 months.

AN EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY, LOOK NO FURTHER……
Description: to prepare and conduct test work and produce quality data for analysis via the preparation and running of test equipment, rigs and hardware. Controlled teardown and rebuilds, rig engines for test, fault diagnosis and rectification. To lead Product Development projects and deliver local team based initiatives. To visit other test centres and customer sites to give advice, approve and undertake test work.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Engineer - Product Development
To deliver testing activity across the Product Development test facility including flexibility and adaptability to develop new products and facilities as they come on stream.
Document results, conduct initial analysis and report findings.
Set up and run test instrumentation equipment as needed and ensure accurate, validated data is obtained for all test cycles.
Lead specific test projects, communicating across internal and external teams to structure, execute, deliver and document results.
Lead team based responsibilities and local improvement initiatives.
Write test schedules and state of test reports.
Jointly run tests with Pilot Centre test operations.
Provide support to Pilot Centre for preparation and testing of components and systems.
Visit other test centres and customers sites to give advice, approve and undertake test work.

Essential Skills of the Associate Engineer - Product Development
Qualified to HNC level with an Engineering apprenticeship.
Must have good problem solving and time management skills.
Must be computer literate with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to work independently and be adaptable to the changing demands of Product Development.
Knowledge of test cell and testing equipment is essential as well as extensive knowledge of diesel engines.
Must be a team player with the ability to provide support/supervision to team members.
Coaching skills would be beneficial.
