I am looking for an experienced Raw Materials Buyer / Production Planner for a well established food manufacturer based in North London.

There are 2 key product areas needed to manufacture the product portfolio: raw material & packaging – this role is responsible for the packaging side.

The supplier base is mainly overseas. You will be the main point of contact with the supplier base and be responsible for:

•Maintaining stock volumes
•Management of lead times
•Ensuring order fulfilment

Working closely with the Production Planner and General Manager you will understand yield and usage and ultimately be judged on the ability to ensure continuous supply whilst not exceeding agreed stockholding levels.

They are a large business with a well established customer based consisting mainly of grocery retailers ion the UK and Europe. As such it is a very fast paced environment and one where you will be given autonomy and responsibility to get on with your job. Suitable applicants must be willing and able to thrive in this environment In addition they will have:

- Experience in a food manufacturing environment in managing overseas product supply
- An understanding of production planning
- IT knowledge- they are looking at an ERP solution and if you have previously worked with this it would be an advantage
