Accounts Payable Supervisor, Watford, Hertfordshire

Our client, a highly reputable and well established organisation that has recently undergone rapid expansion and gained clear market dominance, has an exciting yet challenging opening to cover the secondment of the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Working within a high volume environment and supervising the payables and stock reconciliation teams you will be responsible for their recruitment, appraisals, training and on-going development. During this nine month contract the focus will be on ensuring that normal service to the business is not affected and working relationships with vendors, buyers and internal customers is maintained to the highest degree. Additionally you will be responsible for providing 4 week projected payment information to cashiers for the inclusion in cash-flow forecasting and producing and reviewing month end reports when necessary. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar high volume environment, 2 years supervisory experience and sound book-keeping/accounting knowledge is essential. Furthermore good system skills including Excel (to pivots and v-look ups), is required combined with the ability to work well in a pressurised environment.
