Accountant (Bookkeeper) / Office Manager - Frome, Somerset - £25k + bonus
A developing company based in Frome is looking for an experienced Accountant /Office Manager.
Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant (Bookkeeper) /Office Manager. Based in Frome, Somerset your main duties will include:
To run, manage and be fully responsible for the accounts providing:
Day to Day / Monthly Management Accounts
Record, maintain and reconcile all cash transactions, and issue statements.
Prepare & present the monthly Profit & Loss accounts and Balance Sheets.
Consolidate Profit & Loss accounts and Balance Sheets.
Maintain schedules for prepayment and accruals on a monthly basis, reconcile all inter-company accounts and resolve differences if any.
Complete VAT returns on an accrual basis
Cash Management and Cash flows to cover: reconciliation of multi currency bank accounts; process sales invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, petty cash; make foreign currency transactions; and manage company credit cards.
To process foreign exchange payments as requested.
To assist in the compilation of monthly budgets by project and by region in order to show forward cash flow projects and foreign exchange exposures.
Payroll, and to prepare all monthly and year end returns for filing with HMRC.
Prepare P11D’s for the employees for distribution.
To track and record advance payments to individuals, suppliers and contractors.
To process monthly payments in accordance with procedures.
Monthly management accounts.Group consolidation.
To provide detailed support for the preparation of monthly budgets.
To provide administrative and operational support as Office Manager.
Maintain project registration forms and schedule, monitor projects and invoices accordingly, liaise with consultants and clients, maintain records, monitor all commercial contracts.
To keep a record of all leases as tenant and landlord and ensure payments of rents are made and received in accordance with the terms of the lease.
To maintain an off site storage facility contract for the old records of the company. Ensure that all documents and boxes are numbered and a log maintained in the office.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Strong booking / accountancy skills a pre-requisite, including Sage and Pastel ideally.
The highest levels of competency with MS Excel spreadsheets.
Accuracy and detail paramount.
Ability to work independently and to timelines crucial.
Comfortable with multi-tasking.
Interaction with Staff world wide.
Strong customer relationship management skills.
